Nora Donaghy | Director Nora Donaghy, a.k.a. Nomad Nora, was born in Visalia, California, grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, and Manhattan, Kansas, and has lived in Japan, Costa Rica and Damascus, Syria. Her geocaching name reflects this lifelong peripatetic existence. After graduating with bachelor’s degrees in English and journalism and working as a newspaper editor, Nora worked for several years in book publishing before starting graduate studies at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. She graduated in May 2006 with an MFA in cinema-television production. Nora produced the award-winning USC documentary “Back to Life” and also has produced three USC thesis films: Lie Detector (2006), The Professor’s Daughter (2006) and Tully & Elsa (2007). She is currently writing, and working as a production coordinator for a feature-length documentary. Caitlin Millay Taylor | Director of Photography Caitlin Taylor, a.k.a. Kapetapekan, was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She attended Yale University, where she received her B.A. and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. While at Yale, she acted as president of UPix, the film production company on campus. Her short film, Milk, was a finalist at the Ivy League Film Festival. In her spare time, Taylorinterned for Michael Moore on his film, Bowling for Columbine (2002), and worked with Marion Lipschutz and Rose Rosenblatt on their film, The Education of Shelby Knox (2005), which won the award for Best Cinematography atSundance. In December 2006, Taylor will graduate from USC, where she has served as director of photography for two thesis films and produced three more. Tom Huffman | Producer Tom Huffman, a.k.a. Lemurs8mysister, was born in Chicago, Illinois, grew up in La Canada, California and has also lived in New York and San Diego. He recently completed his B.A. in Cinema-Television Production at the University of Southern California. Tom became interested in the sport of Geocaching through his love for hiking and the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports and hanging out with his fraternity brothers. His favorite color is blue and his favorite animal is the East African Grey back Winged Moose Pigeon. Erin Rakow | Producer Erin Rakow, a.k.a. Cacher n the Rye, earned her BFA in cinema-television production from USC in May 2006. She is originally from New York, and hates it when people call soda 'pop'. She has interned and worked at Comedy Central, Miramax, and Brillstein-Grey Entertainment. Erin enjoyed her first experience in documentary film producing, and is also interested in directing and cinematography. Meagan Keane | Sound Designer Although Meagan, a.k.a. Viper Won, has lived in a hand full of countries around the world she considers the beautiful hills of northern California her home. Raised in Marin County, California, Meagan first made the move to Los Angeles in 1997 to attend UCLA, finally earning her BA in World Arts and Cultures in 2001. The combination of her cultural studies and extensive travel that ultimately led her to understand the amazing possibilities of documentary film, which has been the sole focus of her studies at USC. In addition to sound design, Meagan has experience in documentary editing and producing; she currently works for independent documentary production company INTERLOPER Films LLC. Cooper McMains | Sound Designer Cooper, a.k.a. CobraCacher, was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In high school he set his sights on film school and decided to come out to California. In his spare time he enjoys listening to classic rock music and hanging out with his fraternity brothers. He earned his BFA in film production from USC in May 2006 and plans on continuing his film career after graduation back in Louisiana. Richard Stark | Editor Born in Toronto, Canada, Richard, a.k.a. GeoCyclops, attended the University of Toronto for his undergrad in animal biology. During his pre-film school days, Richard conducted research on Siamese fighting fish. He has also been making movies since he was only nine years old. Richard prides himself on being a Writer/director/editor/cinematographer as well as an avid tennis player. His passion for filmmaking brought him to USC and he is entering his fourth semester in USC grad production. Jason Carter | Editor Jason Carter, a.k.a. Crouching Tiger, recently graduated from the University of Southern California with a dual bachelor’s degree in film and journalism. Jason was hooked into the non-fiction world after working as a sound designer on the award-winning USC documentary “Back to Life.” Although he has yet to go geocaching, the one thing he would like to find in a cache is the Storm Trooper action figure he lost when he was six.
